Update on Nintendo Direct Presentation

Nintendo recently showcased previews of new and updated titles, such as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Patapon 1 + 2 Replay, during a Direct presentation. The full presentation replay is available to watch, lasting approximately 38 minutes.

Surprise Early Direct Presentation

Ahead of the anticipated Switch 2 deep dive scheduled for April 2, Nintendo surprised fans with an earlier Direct presentation on March 27 at 10AM ET. The 30-minute video focused on upcoming games for the original Switch console, with no information regarding the Switch 2. However, all showcased games are expected to be compatible with the new console due to backwards compatibility.

Despite the focus shifting towards Switch 2 game development, Nintendo plans to continue releasing games for the original Switch, given its large install base of over 150 million consoles. Titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are still in the pipeline for release this year, alongside third-party games for the Switch.
