The Xbox app spills the beans on how games will run on your PC

Microsoft is adding a cool new feature to the Xbox PC app that could save you some headaches when it comes to game compatibility. This game performance indicator compares your PC specs with others to predict how well a game will run on your system. If your rig isn’t up to snuff, you can check out the system requirements before diving in.

Not every game will have this performance check, especially for newer titles with fewer players. But for those games that do, it’s a handy tool to prevent wasted data and disappointment. No need to rely on third-party system checkers when everything you need is right in the Xbox app.

Improved navigation in the app makes finding and installing games easier. Game progress is now visible in a queue at the bottom left, with notifications for finished installations. Plus, search now includes EA Play and Ubisoft Connect titles for even more gaming options.
