“The latest trending indie game, ‘Storyteller’, is set to arrive on Netflix”

Storyteller is a game focused on writing, word puzzles, and the intricate stories we craft to navigate our daily lives. Developed by solo creator Daniel Benmergui, it will be available on Android and iOS through Netflix starting on September 26th. Published by Annapurna Interactive, Storyteller originally launched on Switch and PC on March 23rd after over a decade of development.
Players of Storyteller create narrative arcs using comic book-style elements, shaping the lives, deaths, romances, and betrayals of medieval characters. This unique game offers a calming and often amusing experience that reflects the absurdity of the creative writing process.
Upon its release on mobile platforms, Storyteller will include free downloadable content with new stories for players to explore. This additional content will also be available for free on Switch and PC simultaneously.
The partnership with Netflix aligns with the current trend of bringing indie games to the platform. Netflix is expanding its collection of mobile games, all accessible to subscribers for free. By the end of the year, Netflix aims to offer nearly 100 titles, including popular indie games like Kentucky Route Zero, Oxenfree, and Spiritfarer. Additionally, Netflix has acquired indie studios such as Night School Studio, the creators of Oxenfree.
