MLB’s Home Run Derby VR hits the Meta Quest Store!

Calling all virtual reality enthusiasts and baseball fans! MLB has just released Home Run Derby VR on the Meta Quest Store, now available for Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro users. Previously only on Meta’s App Lab, this game lets you explore 30 different ballparks and tackle up to 100 levels. With advanced motion controls and realistic batting mechanics, you can step into the virtual batter’s box and swing away like your favorite sluggers.
Multiplayer mode allows for up to four players or join tournaments with up to eight participants. Compete based on score, exit velocity, or longest home run. Plus, unlock bat skins and more for your Meta avatars through achievements. MLB Home Run Derby VR is priced at $30 on the Meta Quest Store, but Rift or Steam VR users can also get in on the action.
MLB isn’t new to the VR game, having hosted a “virtual ballpark” regular-season game last September. Fans were able to virtually enter the stadium and watch avatars representing the real-time gameplay between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Los Angeles Angels.
