GeoGuessr, the super fun geography game where you gotta guess where in the world you are based on a random Google Street View pic, is heading to Steam! It’s set to drop in early access sometime in April. Finally, no more struggling with browser settings on desktop mode just to play.

Competitive and Casual Modes Galore

The devs are going for the early access route on Steam to tweak the gameplay, add cool new features, and get direct feedback from players. They wanna make GeoGuessr the ultimate competitive and casual geography game. The early access version will have a competitive solo mode and casual Team Duels, with more modes and features on the horizon.

Get Ready to Face Some Pros

GeoGuessr has a serious competitive scene, with this year’s world championship offering a $100,000 prize pool. If you think you’ve got what it takes to go pro, be prepared to face some insanely skilled players. These pros can pinpoint a location based on a single corn stalk by the road or the pattern on a curtain. They’re next level.

Steam Pricing and Features

Not sure how much the full Steam version will cost yet. A free version will let you play in the amateur division and unranked Team Duels. To access full Solo Duels, you’ll need to snag a Steam Pass. The price won’t change during the early access phase, which is expected to last at least six months. And no price hikes when it’s out of early access either.

So, if you’re a GeoGuessr fan or just looking for a fun challenge, keep an eye out for the game on Steam soon!
