The remake of Resident Evil 4 is scheduled to be released on March 24th. Capcom has now made available a free trial of the game on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, named Chainsaw Demo. This demo is set early in the game, when Leon enters the Spanish village affected by las plagas. Players can enjoy the demo without any time limit.

Success of Resident Evil Remakes

Capcom has achieved significant success with its recent remakes of the Resident Evil series. Following the updated version of RE2 in 2019 and the remade RE3 in 2020, both featuring enhanced mechanics and graphics, Resident Evil 4 is next in line. Originally released on GameCube in 2005, this installment marked a shift towards action-oriented gameplay rather than focusing on puzzles and atmosphere. Its innovative over-the-shoulder perspective set a new standard for action-horror games, influencing titles like the remakes of RE2 and RE3.
