Tekken director keeps getting asked to add a Waffle House stage

Waffle House and Tekken 8: A Potential Match?
Waffle House is known for serving up breakfast combos at 3AM and for being a hotspot for late-night brawls. So, when fans started suggesting that it would make a great setting for a fighting game like Tekken 8, longtime director Katsuhiro Harada took notice. He even posted on X to ask about all the Waffle House requests.
Of course, this all happened right before April Fools’ Day, so there might be a bit of jest involved. But now that the idea is out there…
Harada asked for an explanation behind the Waffle House requests, including the story, history, and background. He made it clear that if the restaurant chain doesn’t approve, the collaboration won’t happen. Waffle House now has a chance to make a funny move here.
However, before any Waffle House and Tekken 8 partnership can happen, the chain needs to address its employees’ concerns about low wages and security issues. Some employees have been vocal about these problems, with strikes happening at some locations and petitions calling for improvements in working conditions. Until these issues are resolved, any collaboration with the fighting game would leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
