DIY Enthusiast Builds Slim PS5

Sony is known for releasing slim versions of its PlayStation consoles, but the PS5 hasn’t received that treatment yet. While fans eagerly await a more compact version of the PS5, DIY enthusiast DIY Perks took matters into his own hands. By dismantling a standard PS5 and replacing various components, he managed to create a custom slim version that is only 1.9 centimeters thick.

Custom Cooling System

To achieve the slim design, DIY Perks had to devise his own cooling system and relocate the power supply. By creating a water-cooling system and placing the power supply in a separate slim external case, he was able to reduce the bulk of the console significantly. Despite facing challenges during the process, he succeeded in making the console operational and even achieved better cooling efficiency than the original PS5.
