NVIDIA and Ubisoft partner to bring AI-driven NPCs to modern games

NVIDIA has been dedicated to enhancing non-playable characters (NPCs) with generative AI, and a new collaboration with Ubisoft aims to expedite the development of this technology. With the assistance of dynamic NPC experts Inworld AI, Ubisoft utilized NVIDIA’s Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) technology to create new “NEO NPCs” that offer a refreshing gaming experience.

These innovative NEO NPCs are designed to engage in real-time interactions with players, the game environment, and other in-game characters.
