Overwatch 2 players will have access to new heroes without the need to pay or grind through a battle pass.

Blizzard is finally making it easier to unlock new heroes in Overwatch 2. This change will be implemented starting from season 10, allowing both new and old heroes to be available for free to all players. This includes Venture, a new hero created for season 10, as well as previously released heroes like Mauga, Illari, Sojourn, and Lifeweaver.
In addition to the current roster of heroes, future heroes in Overwatch 2 will also be playable in all game modes when season 10 officially begins in April. Director Aaron Keller hinted at more changes to the game’s battle pass system, including the introduction of mythic skins for sale and easier ways to earn Overwatch Coins, the in-game currency.
Another exciting development is the introduction of a new in-game competition called Clash, announced at last year’s Blizzcon. Clash is a team-based PvP mode where teams compete to capture five points in a row or reach a maximum score to win. While the full Clash mode won’t be available at the start of season 10, it is set to be released later in the year with two dedicated maps.
Looking ahead, Blizzard also gave a preview of season 11, which will introduce a new Push map set in Peru and a reworked version of the Rome-based Colosseo map. These updates show Blizzard’s commitment to improving player experience and expanding the Overwatch 2 universe.
