Xbox Cloud Gaming Coming to Meta Quest Store
Microsoft is partnering with Meta to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to the Meta Quest Store, expanding access beyond consoles, PCs, tablets, and phones. This move will make the service available on Meta Quest 2 headsets, and potentially on the upcoming Meta Quest Pro as well.
Game Pass Ultimate Subscription Required
To enjoy Xbox Cloud Gaming on your Meta Quest 2, you’ll need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Players will have the opportunity to play console games on a virtual 2D screen within the headset, eliminating the need for VR versions. Additionally, connecting an Xbox controller to the Quest 2 will be an option, instead of using the Quest 2 controllers.
While Microsoft and Meta have not specified the exact release date for Xbox Cloud Gaming on Meta Quest headsets, they are expected to provide more information in the near future.
