After three years, Lego’s Super Mario lineup continues to expand, with the recent addition of Princess Peach to its collection of starter sets last summer. The Fliprus Snow Adventure Expansion Set, now available, features an enemy from the 2012 game New Super Mario Bros. U. Despite limited in-person opportunities to view these sets due to the International Toy Fair being on hiatus, we were able to preview them at a recent industry event in New York.

The Princess Peach Starter Set was unveiled on March 10th, also known as Mario Day or “Mar10 Day,” and has been on the market since August. Priced at $60, the set includes the Bluetooth-connected Peach figurine, as well as characters like Lemmy Koopa and a yellow Toad. Unique to this set is a flower-adorned swing that allows Peach to collect “coins” when pushed over a sensor.

Similar to the Mario and Luigi figures, Peach features LED eyes and a screen in her chest. Her dress can be removed to connect her with other sets like the Cat Peach Suit, sold separately for $80. The newest Fliprus set, priced at $65, includes features like a catapult that launches an “ice” boulder and a Cooligan character from New Super Mario Bros. U.

While Peach is currently available at a discounted price of $45 on Amazon, Lego VIP members can earn double points on Super Mario purchases on the Lego website until March 12th.
