Google is testing some fresh payment methods on the Play Store in the US

Google is shaking things up with its Play Store billing options in the US, Brazil, and South Africa. Now users can choose between Google’s in-app purchasing system or try something different when making in-app purchases.
More apps like Spotify and Bumble are jumping on board. Spotify is already giving users billing choices, while Bumble is gearing up to do the same in select countries.
But don’t think Google is doing this out of the goodness of its heart. Pressure from regulators and developers is pushing Google and Apple to offer alternative billing options. This experiment is their way of dodging potential fines and regulatory backlash.
